Fosroc Spherical Bearings are mainly composed of a steel pot with a spherical cap, PTFE sheets and steel lid. The spherical cap is totally insulated within the pot through interposition between the pot and the lid. When subjected to vertical and horizontal loads, the pot acts as an incompressible fluid so that it enables an oscillation of the lid in relation to the pot; the hydrostatistical pressure being released. Each Fosroc Spherical Bearing is bespoke to each specific project, meeting the desired design requirements.
